Manufacturers and users must therefore determine the incentives for the defeating of safeguards in their respective hazard and risk assessments.<\/p>\n<p>The Institute for Occupational Safety and Health of the DGUV (IFA) has developed guidance in the form of a simple procedure that can be used to identify and classify incentives to defeat safeguards on machinery.
